Ventnor Heritage Museum

A former furniture store in Spring Hill Ventnor is the headquarters of the Ventnor Historical Society and their Heritage Museum.

Among the many exhibits are relics of WW2 and the railway age on which the holiday resort of Ventnor was founded in Victorian times. The railway has gone, but there is at least a working model of the terminus. These artefacts, together with the large archive of local material are in the care of Graham Bennet (curator) and Fay Hewitt Brown (archivist) who provides a weekly history column in the local paper.

The Museum is normally open May to October and special visits can be arranged. Contact them via their website.

Filmed and produced by Will Jackson, check out his work at Vimeo.

Graham Bennet and Fay Brown talk to Ventnor.tv about the Ventnor Heritage Museum.
